This was one of four sites which made up RNSD Copenacre (Royal Naval Supply Depot) It was part of the RNSTS (Royal Naval Supply & Transport Service) Supplied EVERYTHING to the RN. Armaments' Fuel, Naval Stores, Victualling and Transport. Copenacre held Electronics. It had test and survey facilities for in-store maintenance and for returns to maintain serviceability. This would include special rooms where the operative would be earthed to prevent damage to ESSDs ( Electro Static Sensitive Devices) As you inferred some items were security classified and were stowed within secure storerooms within the secure chambers within the secure Depot. During the Winter months the staff would decend during dark mornings and end their working day during late afternoon darkness. Seeing daylight only during the weekends, unless they chose do work overtime! I proudly worked for the RNSTS for 25 years. It was an excellent CS Department. It was recognised as being a miraculous Logistics chain especially during the Falklands conflict. Hope this is of some interest.

I used to work for that NCP, it used to be locked up, my friend work in the hotel when it was the sunn inn and sadly passed away as the asbestos was horrendous 😢

Those pictures are the tall ships they come into Bay City Michigan every summer yes I have the same pictures that my girlfriend's mother took hanging on my bathroom wall nice to see you there in your country I'd love to come and visit one of these days if I ever get some money love you guys bye bye for now
